Louisa Christmas Parade (12/7)

Louisa Christmas Parade (12/7)

The Louisa Christmas Festival and Parade are two Holiday traditions that everyone looks forward to attending! This year our theme is Christmas Red, White & Blue so parade entries can decorate their floats with a patriotic holiday theme. The festival, which is held on Saturday, December 7th from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the Courthouse Square is a great place to do some Christmas shopping, enjoy a cup of cocoa, and get into the Christmas spirit. Our vendors have all kinds of gift ideas; all types of Christmas wares, woodcrafts, jewelry, Tupperware, Scentsy, Pampered Chef, wreaths, and quilts are just some of the items that have been for sale in years past. Admission is free!

At noon, the parade starts at Meadow Avenue and travels down Main Street to Rosewood Avenue, then to the County Office Building on Woolfolk Avenue. Whether you have a float, are part of a marching group, or have some fancy antique car, it’s free to enter the parade, but you MUST pre-register. You can download the registration form below or call our office and we can send you one.

There are always lots of shoppers and spectators at this event. Come check out all the vendors, then find you a spot along the parade route to witness our community Christmas Red, White & Blue parade, then finish up the rest of your shopping at this local holiday event!
