Give Your Mind a Break While Supporting the Alzheimer’s Association on Brain Awareness Day

Take a break, find some peace, and benefit an amazing cause all at the same time!

Come join us on Thursday, June 29th from 6-7:30PM for ‘Brain Awareness Day’ at The Mind Body Project at the Yellow Door! They are offering an amazing session filled with meditation, tea and conversation, and even a little bit of easy yoga to help you relax and ‘calm your brain down’.  We all have day-to-day stress in our lives, and every now and then it’s important to take time out of that hectic week and put your stresses behind you.

According to the Huffington Post, ‘practicing stress-reducing meditation and yoga can actually slow the progression of Alzheimer’s and other dementias.’ By participating, your donation to The Alzheimer’s Assocation will not only help find a cure to Alzheimer’s Disease, but also teach you simple daily practices in slowing down and keeping your brain healthy.

The Mind Body Project is located at:

110 Goodman Street A3

Charlottesville, VA

Belmont neighborhood, behind Lampo Pizzeria

To participate, we encourage a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association on location.

RSVP by emailing Abby Reid: [email protected] or Erin Henshaw: [email protected]
