The Charlottesville Great Biscuit Bake-Off for Charity!

The Charlottesville Great Biscuit Bake-Off for Charity!

Yesterday I was reminded of a favorite lesson learned from my very first job at Rosa’s Pizza in Richmond; take pride in my work (what’s up Donna)!  When I left the new Bojangles @ Hollymead in C-Ville yesterday,  I remembered that night as a 15 year old wanna-be hippie washing dishes.  Mrs. Donna was a strange one at the time, but isn’t it funny how her lessons are still alive in me today!

I was invited to take part in the Charlottesville Great Biscuit Bake-Off for Charity.  In 45-ish minutes, Dale the local owner had me baking the biscuits to the specs of the true biscuit pros @ Bojangles.  I was able to learn the (secret) recipe to success,  how they can turn fresh baked biscuits every 20 minutes, and what makes Bojangles live up to the name “Famous Chicken ‘n Biscuits!

There were official judges and if my biscuits win, Bojangles will donate $500 on my behalf to UVA Children’s Hospital!

Keep your fingers crossed ~ Uncle Pauly
