Help St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Honor of a Local Girl’s Birthday

By:  Tom Morgan

When Samantha Nicole from Charlottesville direct messaged me on Facebook regarding raising money for the kids at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, I immediately wanted to learn more.

Samantha has a daughter turning two in less than a week.  Instead of asking for gifts, little Ariana has asked her friends and family to give to St. Jude in honor of her older sister, who passed away at only 12 weeks old.

St. Jude is a place that is near and dear to my heart.  I consider it as an ‘insurance policy’ for my future kids as well as kids all over the world.  Doctors have referred children with cancer and their families to St. Jude because of the research and amazing care it has given to each patient.  The best part is, the hospital is free of charge! It’s because of donors like you and me that keep the doors open.  Hence why I call St. Jude, an ‘insurance policy’.  I couldn’t imagine my six-year old nephew going through cancer, but sadly, this is a reality for millions of families.

If you would like to donate to St. Jude in honor of Ariana’s older sister, click HERE.

She has a small goal of 200 dollars she hopes to raise by the end of the week.  I believe you and I can exceed that goal.
