My friends and I visited a brand new business in Charlottesville called ‘Immersion Escape Rooms’ on Ivy Rd at the Ivy Road Shopping Center. We not only had a blast, but had quite the adventure!
1.) Team building – This is the perfect setting for your office to come together and work on teamwork and communication skills. As a team, you will need to communicate with your co-workers to solve the puzzles to escape the room before time runs out.
2.) The design – The design and puzzles are uniquely crafted and built around the setting of each room immersion has created.
3.) An escape from reality – Sure, you’re escaping a room, but you find yourself in a role playing situation. It will take your mind off of everything that is happening outside, and focused on the game at hand with zero distractions.
4.) Living the story line of the room – Without giving you too much detail behind the room that I was in, I knew that I was in an unfamiliar place. The furniture, books, and artwork all related to to recently transpired events that I had to dig into to understand. Then I realized that I only experienced one part of a connected story that flows through each individual room!
5.) This is different than any weekend experience you will have. Instead of simply walking through an historic or haunted house, you are immersed in the experience and LIVING inside of it for an hour.
