A Perfect Song for Coach Fischer [VIDEO]

Former Louisa Head Football Coach Mark Fischer passed away Sunday night after a seven-year battle with a rare form of Cancer.  

 

He led the Lions to two state championship appearances in 2006 and 2017, and the was the most successful football coach in Louisa County history.  Shortly before his final game as head coach (the 2017 state championship) we played ‘Coach’ by Kenny Chesney on 99.7 CYK.  Afterwards, many of you called with stories of gratitude and prayers as your Coach was fighting a long battle with cancer.

 

The following week, I found out that Coach Fischer had been baptized at my church. By far, the biggest victory.

 

Louisa lost their Coach, but an amazing football team in Heaven has been waiting for him.  The lyrics to this song are so fitting…..
