Some on the internet are saying that this is proof that they knew that it would happen before the play started and spoke too soon, meaning that the game was rigged to results in a Patriots win after a massive comeback.
The comments section has offered another explanation, which is obviously what actually happened – he wasn’t “predicting” the win, he was reminding the audience that IF the Patriots score a touchdown, they would win the game…because that’s what a good announcer does.
