Calling all Kenny Chesney fans! If you were looking forward to hearing new music from Chesney this week with the release of his new album, Some Town Somewhere, you will have to wait a while longer.
Chesney just shared the news that album is being pushed all the way back to October 28th due to recording a duet with pop star Pink. The CD was finished when he got the new song and there was no way to record it with their schedules and get it on the album by the end of the week.
“Sure, it would be easier to just leave everything on schedule. But when you have something you know is great, and it captures the best part of being alive, why wouldn’t you slow down enough to make it happen in the moment?” Chesney says. “That’s what “Setting the World on Fire” is all about — and I figure it may be a while before I make another record, and I don’t want to wait to share this because it’s so good.”
