We’ve all been there. Halloween creeped up on us and now we’re frantically trying to find a Halloween costume. You find out that a lot of the costumes either are too expensive, sold out, or just plain ugly. Your party is tomorrow too! Here are a few ideas that I found thanks to Bustle.
Let’s start out with the one costume you shouldn’t put together, a hobo. When I was about 16, I had a bright idea to run home, tear a few shirts and wear basketball shorts over my jeans because I was invited to a party and didn’t have a costume. Not only did some people find my homeless guy outfit offensive, but also found my taste in costumes quite lame. We’ve since learned from our mistakes.
Now here are some real ideas:
1.) An emoji
It’s kinda weird and cheap, but trendy. All you need is some heart eye glasses like this and you’re loving everybody.
2.) An Egg
No need to put pillows under your shirt and pants to make you look bigger in size. Simply wear all white with a yellow scarf. You got yourself an egg costume.
3.) A Runaway Bride
Similar to the egg costume, you wear all white (preferably a dress) and bright sneakers. You may have to explain yourself to a few people if your dress isn’t working out. Ladies, if your wedding dress is still in the closet and you’re OK with wearing it on Halloween, you’ve scored yourself a runaway bride costume.
4.) The Classic Burglar Outfit
Get a stripped shirt, black pants and shoes, and add some face paint or get a mask to cover your eyes. You can also carry a large sack with random items to make it more legit.
5.) Dr Seuss
Remember that orange and blue Dr. Seuss hat you wore back in 2001? (It seems like everybody wore these hats back then). Break out the hat from the closet, blow off the dust, and apply make up to make it look like you have cat whiskers and wallah.
Yes, I know most, if not all of these ideas, sound pretty lame. But then again, who waited till the last minute to get a costume???????
