Local Town Named Best to Reside in Virginia

24/7 Wall Street conducted a study to find the best place to reside in Virginia, and a very proud local town received the honor this year.

Congrats to the town of Waynesboro, the best town to reside in Virginia!

According to The Daily Progress:

24/7 Wall St. created a weighted index of over two dozen measures to identify the best city to live in each state, the story said. Census-designated places, cities, towns and villages with at least 8,000 residents were considered.

The top city in each state for the article was decided on quality of life including: close relationships, personal health, local community, environment, safe streets, a strong economy, affordability, and a range of entertainment options.

Located in the Shenandoah Valley, Waynesboro offers easy access to the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway and the Appalachian Trail. The South River cuts through the city, providing a water trail for residents to fish and enjoy by boat. Waynesboro also has a higher than typical concentration of restaurants, movie theatres and museums.
